BCME (Beverage Can Makers Europe)
BCME (Beverage Can Makers Europe) are a non-profit association, whose prime objective is to promote the beverage can in Europe and to communicate market data. Recently One Degree Consulting were commissioned to work on the beverage can sustainability project by BCME. This project is aimed to illustrate and communicate to the public, politicans, and company executives that beverage cans are the most sustainable drinks packaging solution available.
While the One Degree Consulting graphic and design department main aim was to concentrate on producing a corproate feel and brochure to the project, other requirements saw the need to provide an Enterprise Content Management (ECM) repository. With the distributed nature of the members within BCME (geographically and organisationally) an extranet was chosen to provide the ECM features.
The workFile Vision product provides typical extranet facilities, allowing such implementations to leverage the workFile content management module, delivering file storage, versioning and archive facilities. In addition the extranet site provides the central point for bulletins, news, calendar events and contact management all within a secure extranet solution.

The Rico Legacy started in France with Joseph Rico in 1928, and by the 1930s, the company was the first to offer strength-gauged reeds. In 1940, Rico introduced the first plastic-coated reed, Plasticover, which possesses unique tonal qualities and a long-playing life. Other Rico innovations have included the NovaPak dispenser for retailers, Graftonite mouthpieces, and the new Reed Vitalizer 2-way humidity control storage units
At its San Fernando Valley facility, Rico has a state-of-the-art reed research center, and employs the collaboration of agronomists, scientists, and musicians to produce top-quality reeds. Rico reeds are designed to benefit all levels of musicians from the beginner to the seasoned professional. Many of the world's finest clarinetists and saxophonists use Rico brand reeds.

Hackeny Community College
The Community College Hackney (tcch) required a web site that would be easily maintainable, allow staff to easily update and modify content on the site whilst providing them with the means to capture prospective student details, publish job applications, capture job applications and publish news articles. The site was to then link to the workFile Case Manager module, allowing administration staff to process student and job applications carried out on the web site quickly and efficiently.
The web site was developed using Microsoft’s ASP.NET technology. It is fully compliant with today’s disablement legislation (DDA) and links seamlessly with workFile ECM (leveraging workFile WEB - web content management) and the workFile Case Manager module. In addition, the site integrates with the college’s course database allowing the site to provide users with course information. By linking course information with the application form capabilities of workFile ECM, prospective students can apply for their chosen course via the website with their application being captured within the workFile Case Manager module instantly.
The site leverages workFile ECM to store, display and manager news, student application forms, publication of job vacancies as well as job application forms. This integration allows published forms to be easily maintained and ensures they are always up to date on the web site. In addition, publishing news and vacancies to the web site is very simply and quick for administration staff, again ensuring the web site is constantly up to date. By ensuring the web site is maintained properly, this provides users with up-to-date information and enriches the users experience.
Student and job application forms are published directly from the workFile ECM repository. Data captured on these forms are then stored within the workFile Records module. Leveraging the workFile Records module allows the workFile Case Manager module to generate work items for administration staff based on the application type and or application data. Each work item contains a number of tasks that must be complete in order to complete the piece of work. The Case Manager module manages and monitors these tasks whilst providing users with basic task instructions. In addition the Case Manager makes available the data required to process the work, in this case the applicant’s record / application form.
Administration staff are notified of new pieces of work through the system, ensuring work is carried out as quickly and efficiently as possible whilst in a strict and secure environment. For more information on workFile Case Manger please contact info@workFileSuite.com or call +44 (0) 1708 449 416.
